March/April: Several
Community Brain-Storming Sessions
to decide on the theme; and,
consider various parade/pageant
designs (see details below)
April 5th - May 3rd. Follow-up Meetings. Once we have collected the ideas brought forth by the community, we need to review, correlate, synthesize, and distill the range of concepts gathered into a unified theme and potential ways of visualizing these concepts.
It is our hope that many of you will continue to contribute to this process. We hope the many ideas and ways of visualizing the potential of the parade will be considered and reconsidered. These meetings are meant to coalesce not only the theme and powerful visual imagery, but also to strengthen the sense of ownership by the community, develop unity of purpose, explore the artistic potential, as well as demonstrate the essential part artists will play in this project.
