Brief overviews of a few Completed Projects

Migrated a CLEC’s (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) ‘Legacy Voice’, Information Technology and Customer IP Network which had been built-out over 20 years to an entirely new location with completely updated infrastructure. Rebuilt it upon a deregulated telecommunications interconnection structure based on UNE-P (Unbundled Network Element-Provisioning). A complete design and engineering upgrade including: interconnection and vendor negotiations, core network design and construction. Managed all aspects of equipment installation, ‘Carrier’ provisioning, service engineering, turn-up, testing, training and hand-off to operations staff. ‘Program Managed’ the final delivery of restructured customer services. Including development and rollout of VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services and a variety of other IP connectivity products including Soft PBX, Fax to Email gateways and MPLS (Multi Protocol Layer Switching) products for wholesale ISP (Internet Service Provider) customers, retail ‘Business Customers’ and Governmental Agencies.

For a VOIP 'Carrier' augmented Internet connectivity and peering interconnection in several foreign markets. Assisted in the implementation of telecommunications quality of service, cost optimization and security strategies. Developed recommendations and negotiated contracts for acquisition of collocation space and carrier interconnection in various foreign countries, project managed the placement and turn-up of routers, switches, multiplexors and VOIP gateways.

Designed, procured, project managed infrastructure build-out, and migration for an industry leading ASP (Application Service Provider). The scope of work included cabinets, cabling, hosts, routers, switches and network storage. Negotiated new high volume lower cost transit relationships with top tier providers, metro-ethernet connectivity, managed the configuration, turn-up, testing, and turnover to operations staff.

For another ASP, crafted a plan for moving 400 hosts and 120 Terabytes of data to a new location. This was accompliswhed with minimal downtime. Engineered, negotiated, configured and managed the turn-up of dark fiber/CWDM wavelengths for GE and Sonet links to new facility. Designed, procured project managed infrastructure build-out including cabinets, cabling, hosts, routers, switches. project managed all aspects including procurement, contractors and client IT staff during migration, turn-up testing and turnover to operations staff.
