Program Management - What's in a Plan? Hooked doesn't insist on project control but if asked to assume responsibility we will own it. We're not interested in making work for our clients or ourselves. We believe strongly in program management and process but utilizing it is not a prerequisite to engaging our services. All of us enjoy working with clients who know precisely what they want and employ us to achieve a short reliable path to getting those resources online. Working in ad hock mode can achieve good results. We're not against it. We are professionals with skills that can take direction. We embrace the philosophy that the best leaders are also the best followers. Some clients' know they lack the needed resources to accomplish their objective and need a specific resource or need help organizing and managing resources around a plan they have developed. We're ready to lend a hand. Some are trying to accomplish many complicated tasks that need to fit together in a short period of time and believe they don't have the time or resources for greater preparation. Others are aware they need to do better preparation and exercise more project discipline. They may have already witnessed how consensus building, planning and formalized project discipline saves time, money and produces desired results. Perhaps they have requirements that can only be ascertained through a process in which multiple constituencies are polled, technical needs developed and defined to echo the goals of the business. Either path ad hock or using us to do your project planning and management will lead Hooked to a defined scope of work and specifications for a project engagement. If we're asked to manage the project we'll then work with the client to develop a budget, a schedule, a comprehensive project plan, resource allocations and we'll take responsibility for delivering the completed project. It's your choice. Hooked has a variety of specialized resources that we can bring to a project. We also have established vendor and service provider relationships to contribute. Network, systems, facilities engineering and deployment consultants as well as project managers. We also provide a project management infrastructure consisting of a web based project management and document control environment for internal use and the use of our clients, contractors and vendors. With this system we organize our staff, outside contractors and clients in-house staff around their project plans. We have build a wide variety of Networks, IT projects and specialized Data Center facilities, this gives us a backlog of designs to draw upon to meet our clients' needs. Focusing on projects within these core competences achieves excellent results in short periods of time and at very reasonable costs. |
